End of Term 3

Hi everyone! I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support this term. Room 6 is just fantastic and the children are all learning so much. You should be very proud....I know I am! Our inquiry into India has been amazing and I'm sure you would agree that our exhibit at the "Where in the world expo" was brilliant. For those of you who couldn't be there, I am posting a few photos and very soon I will be uploading a recording of our dance that Mr E very kindly did for us. Have a great break and I 'll see you next term, ready for some more exciting, fun and motivating learning.

Olympic games

All the students from Room 5 and 6 wrote persuasive letters to Mr Norrish to ask him to allow us to have an afternoon of "Olympic" games at school.  As you can see, he said "yes!" We had an awesome afternoon. Thanks to all the parents who came to help!

On Friday, the children spent some time retelling the story through their drawings. They had to make sure that they had it in the correct order. This is an important aspect of reading comprehension. I have included a selection of what the children did. My challenge now is for you to ask the children to explain their picture. We are still busy searching for the answers to our questions! Each stepping stone is a "taster" of the work we have been doing in class. This "prezi" is best viewed in the full screen mode. As you know, we have been collaborating with a school in India. Today, I received this link. Click on it to see how they have used the recording of our National Anthem that we sent them. Now, we can listen to them singing their anthem and the discussion continues!

Quiz Night

I thought you may like to see a few photos of the quiz night that we had on Saturday. What a fantastic evening of fun. A huge thank you to all the people who organised and ran the evening. It was fantastic. I'm looking forward to next year!
