Class reward time.

Room 6 went on a picnic today as a class reward. We were so lucky with the weather! Declan's little sister came too and it was wonderful to hear that she too has been learning about bees. Well done Declan for sharing your knowledge. What a great reminder of what "community" is all about. Way to go guys! I am so proud of each and every one of you.

Our Global Partners

In preparation for next term, when our focus will be on the Global Community, Room 6 has established a connection with a school in India. We will be working together and sharing what we learn. To kick this off, we used the iPad on Friday to record our school singing the National Anthem. This is especially for the junior department of Birla High School. Enjoy!

Our Bee Discovery

What an amazing journey we have made so far on our discovery about bees. This week we went on our trip to Mossops Honey and then on Friday, Mr McQuillan came in and spoke to us about "Bee Keeping." It was fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. It is great to have you as part of our school "community."Next week, Mrs Rogers will be talking to us about honey production. We are really looking forward to that!

Alliteration

This week, we have enjoyed a Big book called "Lizzie lizard learns to read." From this, we focused on alliteration. The children worked collaboratively to create a great alliteration sentence. We also worked on our own sentences and these will be uploaded soon.
